2022 Flashback
The year 2022 has come to an end. What a year it was for us here at Noma! We're currently in our second season of Coliving & Coworking, and from September '22 till now, we've already hosted around 50 people in our Community. Together with the numbers from the last season (Sep. 2021 till June 2022), we've now hosted more than 110 individuals rooted in 25 different countries. And I can tell you, it has been a blast! I'm still amazed by the "coincidences" that happen here, all the wonderful people who join our Community and the connections that are growing out of this. They are what makes our Coliving so special! All the experiences we've created together, like usual sundowners on the beach, surfs, hikes along the coast, local festivals & parties, a bonfire on the beach, ceremonies, yoga, communal dinners, or our own ecstatic dance on the rooftop lately: they're just memories now which will last forever. It makes me feel super grateful for everyone who has been a part of this journey so far. And also to see how this environment impacts people positively. For example, we've had quite a lot of people here already who were just about to embark on their journey as a Digital Nomad, leaving their old life and apartments back home behind. And seeing them flourish, soaking up new insights and inspiration from the other Community members and gaining trust in the process, is the greatest thing to witness for me. There are so many more examples of how people made a little transformation during their stay, and there are even more to come... (see the reviews at the end of this newsletter) And that's the magic Coliving has to offer: you're part of a group of like-minded people from the day you move in, making you feel at home and connected. The days of sitting lonely in your apartment and discovering your new environment just by yourself are over. Life is so more fulfilling if you're able to share it with other great souls. And it'll make you leave even richer than compared to your arrival, at least in terms of the memories, inspiration and connections that you've accumulated.
How is Life at Noma Village?
Maybe you're wondering if a stay here at Noma would suit you. To give you a better idea of how our Coliving & Coworking flows, read further. Basically, we're living like flatmates here. We're sharing the common spaces and everyone has their own private room with a private bathroom. Up to 15 people can live here at the same time, and we have been totally booked out more or less since the beginning of our second season. So there's always someone around to hang out with. Mainly, our people are in the age range between mid 20's & end 30's, from different nationalities and different occupations (Digital Nomad, Remote Worker, Freelancer, Coach, Founder). On average, people stay around a month, but it happens very often that people decide to extend their stay. Our Coliving is kinda free-flowing: there is no rigid schedule with daily activities. It's more like activities and plans pop up naturally, like in a normal flatshare. So after a day of working, we always love to walk to the cliffs/beach to watch the sunset. Usually once a week, we have a communal dinner together, on the weekends we sometimes go for a little party or festival, Thursday is Yoga day, and despite that, there's plenty of time to go on a hike, surf, swim or explore the area. And it is the Community you are coliving & coworking with which makes this concept so enriching and worth exploring. We believe that Community is key, and we have carefully curated our space to include like-minded individuals who share similar values and interests. This creates an environment that is both supportive and inspiring. It is what makes Noma Village special. Because of that, it's not possible to straight book a room. We don't want to be a place where random people can just walk in. If you want to join us, you'll first have a little 15min Discovery Call with me. It's just a normal, easy-going conversation to see if it vibes (no worries, it's not like a job interview or so, it's just like if we met on a meetup). This method has proven to enrich our Community with a lot of really amazing souls, and this is where all the magic sparks: from our curated Community of other individuals coliving and coworking here. Did you know?
We have several different-sized surfboards & wetsuits straight here at Noma Village for rent. That means you can just grab a board, walk down to the beach (10min) and catch some waves. There's no better way to start or end a day than being one with the ocean.
